Our primary efforts are justifiably focused on the kids we are committed to helping in Romania, India, and Nepal. However, let’s not forget about the orphanage leaders, for without them these orphanages would not exist.
It is to them that God gave the vision and burden to care for abandoned and at-risk kids and it is they that shoulder the weight of this responsibility day-in and day-out.
These leaders need our prayers. Specifically:
1. That God will encourage them, strengthen them, and fill them with fresh vision and vigor each day so that they can faithfully carry out the work He has given them to do.
2. That God will supply for all of their needs: material, physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational.
3. That God will protect them from internal and external attacks which attempt to discourage and threaten to derail them from the important ministry at-hand of loving, raising up, and deploying the next generation of Christ-witnesses.
4. That God will grant them favor in the eyes of the local community, their respective local and national governments, and the Church at-large.
5. That their faith will grow deeper, that their trust will grow stronger, and that they will rejoice in knowing that they have been specially chosen by God to engage in the advancement of His Kingdom through their work with children.
Will you pray for them? And maybe this year, why not also write them a note of encouragement, maybe including a Scripture verse, or simply scribble a line that tells them that they are not alone and that you are on their team. We’ll forward it
on. It’ll make a difference.
