There are nearly 26 million orphans in India. The chief causes for child abandonment are poverty and disease. Due to the caste system commonly used in India, children without parents are deemed to have little to no value.
Romania was the nation that started it all for Kidstown. In 1996 we began funding for the first orphanage. We have only grown since then in the last 20 years. We now reach 10 plus homes and continue to reach farther and touch more lives.
Kidstown has been able to be involved with various orphanages in Nepal since 2007. We now are connected with fifteen homes that are making a difference in countless children’s lives. Forgotten children are being reached.
