Across India and Nepal cities are now under a complete lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no transportation, no gatherings, and no one can leave their house except for highly essential needs.
This means that all of our children in these countries are being kept in their homes. This can be difficult for young children, but they are doing their best to understand the situation. There have been no confirmed virus cases in or around our homes, so we are grateful for their protection.
Here are a few prayer points we ask you to join us in:
- please pray that prices for food and essentials does not inflate, although it already has in some places.
- please pray that the government does not enforce its call for children’s homes to send the children to their own homes. This is often a far more dangerous option for the kids.
- please pray that our children are not forgotten in this time. One of our leaders in India writes to us “my very special appeal to all the donors and team members of Kidstown International, please do not leave our children at this moment and help us.”
- pray for protection over all of our homes, their communities, and the world.
As we continue to serve our international family, we ask that you stand with us in prayer and hope for the future!
